Ever felt a little melancholy? Maybe post holidays or maybe a lot of the time? It can help to gather your loved ones around when you are feeling that way and soak up their positive energy. I always think about the movie Melancholia and think how would you spend your last hours and minutes on the earth? I think I’d get everyone together for a big blow out party!
What would you do?
Each custom stretched canvas begins with a 12-colour Giclée print, produced from a choice of substrates. We then make a custom wooden frame from European knotless pine - in any size needed up to a maximum of 3 metres - and stretch the rolled canvas print over it.
We use finger jointed canvas frames to create corner tension which helps to resist warping. For larger sizes, we add wooden ‘wedges’ to each corner; ensuring the canvas surface remains taut and allowing for easy re-stretching in future years.
All canvas prints are wrapped in a protective sleeve with individual plastic or cardboard guards added to each corner. Additional cardboard is secured over the print surface to minimize the risk of breakages or transit damage. Each print is then shipped in a heavy duty cardboard box.
