Light Behind The Color Unframed Canvas Wall Art 30x30"

Have always loved the work of Joan Miro, a Spanish painter and sculptor. Never in my life did I think I would ever get to visit Spain and go to the Joan Miro Foundation museum in Barcelona. For years we had poster prints of their work and maybe a postcard or two, but it was something else to go there and see so much of their work in person. The particular Miro piece that inspired these art pieces is titled Man and Woman in Front of a Pile of Excrement. Maybe you’ve had days like this in your life? I think most of us have. The message to me here is that despite the obvious SH*T in front of us on a daily basis, we have to find a way to persevere and keep going and having a partner can that easier somehow? Art and color for REALS helps me to do that and maybe it can help you too?

A couple things struck me, that great day in the museum, one was Miro’s quote that “One line, one color is the origin of creation.” That really resounded with me and I think that is so true when you think about creation of any kind. That was the inspiration for this first piece called One Line One Color Creation.

The other was the light from the Barcelona sun which was ever present that day inside and outside the museum. It make everything pop, it made every color glow. That became the inspiration for the second piece called Light Behind the Color.

It is also easy to be mesmerized by Miro’s mastery of shape and form with color. On purpose I put these Miro colors together in an organic color cloud blender effect as an homage to Miro’s ability to pair color and shape and form so incredibly.

These pieces are perfect on their own but also as a duo or a trio.

May art always find a way to inspire and enlighten you and feel the light behind the colors and see a way through the SH*T. Cheers kind people! #miro #onelineonecolor #creation #shithappens #lightcolor #colorshapeform #fineartprints #canvasprints #woodpanelart

Each custom stretched canvas begins with a 12-colour Giclée print, produced from a choice of substrates. We then make a custom wooden frame from European knotless pine - in any size needed up to a maximum of 3 metres - and stretch the rolled canvas print over it.

We use finger jointed canvas frames to create corner tension which helps to resist warping. For larger sizes, we add wooden ‘wedges’ to each corner; ensuring the canvas surface remains taut and allowing for easy re-stretching in future years.

All canvas prints are wrapped in a protective sleeve with individual plastic or cardboard guards added to each corner. Additional cardboard is secured over the print surface to minimize the risk of breakages or transit damage. Each print is then shipped in a heavy duty cardboard box.
