One of my favorites songs EVER is by Evan Dando called Hard Drive. It captures the everyday, the mundane, the things we do, our muscle memory. One of my fav lines is… “This is the hard drive, this is the ocean, have you ever felt yourself in motion?”Excellent question! Sometimes we are on auto-remote through our lives but it is important to draw upon our deep well of who we are and what keeps us going. Sometimes things come up in our lives that are not easy and they are super scary and hard. Life and death. Even in the face of things being scary we can do the hard things people. One step at a time we can do hard things.
I was inspired by this song and the person of Evan Dando who has been incredibly resilient in their career and their career has been multifaceted. Let’s embrace the vibe of doing the hard things one step at a time and to use our hard drive to keep us solid, to keep us moving forward.
