Missoula Vibes Fine Art Print

from $100.00

As I get close to a milestone birthday I can’t stop thinking about Missoula Montana, which is my birthplace. I don’t live there but means so much to me. Favorite things I do there are to get caught up with family, get Big Dipper ice cream @bigdippermissoula, take some epic hikes (so many), buy vinyl at Rockin Rudy’s @rockinrudys, and then wander the streets around the old family homestead and cry for those times that are gone and for the happy times that took place there. I’m always crying there.

Something special about my birth in Missoula is that David Lynch was born there! WHAT? REALLY? Yes! He was born there on 1/20/46 and one of my cousin’s uncles went to school with him. The Wilma theater downtown had to be a place that David went to watch films, in it’s original version, as it’s fancy now. I saw my first film there. That’s cool!

When I saw Blue Velvet for the first time I deeply felt a Missoula vibe. Remember when Missoula is mentioned in Twin Peaks? I’ve been a BIG David Lynch fan since watching Eraserhead. What a filmmaker! That last season of Twin Peaks is incredible, if you haven’t seen it, check it out! What an inspiration David was and continued to be to the world up until he left us recently. RIP. All the content that keeps coming up is all SOOOOO GOOOD!

Any hoo, this art is an artistic representation of a picture I snapped on one of our trips there. In Missoula the clouds and light play across the mountain landscape, always evolving and always fascinating. I’ll never get tired of it! May this art give you space to love a place fiercely and embrace the connection that you have to it, may that place give you comfort and joy in your life. Hugs! #missoula #montana #rockinrudys #bigdippermissoula #wilmatheatre #twinpeaks #davidlynch #familyhomestead
