Crows Put Me In The Mood Framed Canvas Wall Art
Do you know that crows are super smart? Scientists compare their intelligence to that of a seven year old child. One National Geographic study explained that crows are social and have unusually large brains for their size. The brain size of a crow makes up 2% of its body mass similar to humans and chimpanzees. The study explained that crows and apes both think about their social and physical surroundings in complex ways, using tools as an example. I’ve been talking for years about how smart crows are and how they can learn to use vending machines, cross the street safely on cross walks and have been seen using cans to get in and roll down hills in to have fun and play. Some people don’t like them, but I have always been drawn to them.
A cool crow related event that happens daily in Portland Oregon from fall to winter and definitely in summer time is when all the crows fly across town to gather in the same places to roost. It is referred to as crow happy hour? I know they create a mess where they roost so that is problematic, but I suppose there are worse problems that can happen like rats all over NYC? Roosting together helps them to assess where the best food will be as a group to survive. I’ve included a cool story about this in my bio if you want to read more!
I really enjoy watching them head off across the sky every evening and this artwork is inspired by this. On a funny side note, some crow related Instagram content crossed my path which I shared in my story today. Hilarious! Crows put me in the mood? Not sure about that, but I hope this art inspires you to see crows in a different light.
Cheers kind people and have a great crow Happy Hour!!! #crowhh #crowdates #crowsaresmart #crowspdx #abstractart #fineartprints
We produce all of our custom canvas prints using a 12-colour Giclée print process for a premium, museum-quality finish.
All canvas prints are wrapped in a protective sleeve with individual plastic or cardboard guards added to each corner. Additional cardboard is secured over the print surface to minimise the risk of breakages or transit damage. Each print is then shipped in a heavy duty cardboard box.
Our unframed fine art prints are hand rolled in protective tissue paper and then shipped in extra thick cardboard tubes, unless they are 15x20cm and being delivered in the UK, or A4 or smaller and being delivered in mainland Europe (in which case they are shipped in thick cardboard envelopes).
