Still Waiting Framed Canvas Wall Art
Well hello dear people. You know what I am doing today? I am still waiting. I’m waiting for the world that I want to see. I understand that it has to start with me, and I’m doing my best to keep that dream and hope alive! What I want doesn’t seem that hard? A world where we take care of each other and where people don’t have to feel afraid to simply be who they are. A world where people don’t think it is their job to boss other people around and decide how they should live their lives. A world where everyone can not just survive but actually thrive.
Is that so hard?
My usual optimistic outlook has taken a hit, but the universe reminded me of the Talking Heads song Crosseyed and Painless from Remain in Light. Whelp that sounds about right? In the song the lyrics discuss a paranoid and alienated person who feels stressed by their surroundings. I would say that is a very true feeling and scenario for many of us right now. There is uncertainty, there is fear, there is a feeling that we are not all on the same page and that is a very scary feeling. Still waiting, still waiting, still waiting, still waiting…
I created this art piece to remind us of the blue sky horizon that is out there still waiting for us. As you can see, here is a support wall of rainbows that we can hide behind if needed but that can always remind us that there is still HOPE. Hope for change and hope for the future, hope for a more loving world.
Let’s hold each other close when times are scary and help each other the best we can. Here are things we can do when we feel powerless. Gather the people around you that matter the most in your life. Just be with each other. Listen to each other. Hug each other. Give the best support and care you can offer. Even if change takes time and feels forever, these things can help us through it. All canvas prints are wrapped in a protective sleeve with individual plastic or cardboard guards added to each corner. Additional cardboard is secured over the print surface to minimise the risk of breakages or transit damage. Each print is then shipped in a heavy duty cardboard box.
Our unframed fine art prints are hand rolled in protective tissue paper and then shipped in extra thick cardboard tubes, unless they are 15x20cm and being delivered in the UK, or A4 or smaller and being delivered in mainland Europe (in which case they are shipped in thick cardboard envelopes).
