When Family Kicks You In the Heart Eco Friendly Maple Wood Prints
I am a very positive person, probably to a fault. It takes a lot to bring me DOWN, but you know what will do it? his week I was reminded how imperfect family constructs and relationships can be. What do you do when family actions show you clearly and painfully that you and your loved ones do not matter to them at all. ZIP ZERO ZILCH NADA. There is nothing you can do to change this, so you have to move on!
A harsh truth but I’m actually glad for the opportunity to see the truth of this. Time to take a break and a pause, recharge to reflect.
When these moments happen, and they will, dang it! Switch to self-care mode ASAP and change your focus. Set up your boundaries, pull yourself close to family that DOES get you and LOVE you and show you by their actions that you MATTER! It is lovely and mutual as you also express your love to them in your actions. That is how family should be.
Kind people, maybe you will relate to some of this, next time this happens to you, pick your heart up, brush it off and put your own survival at the top of the list and do all the things that bring you JOY!
A few months ago I posted this art with bright bold neon colors because the sentiment was more of a colorful, WOW, okay what is happening , oh that is happening, kind of vibe. For this depressing situation, I stripped all the color out to represent the ugly sad awfulness of this really quite bad situation, where you are helpless and hopeless, and may also feel mad and angry, but you are still asking this question to the universe.
Look carefully and you might find my tiny heart in this artwork that feels damaged, depressed, and beaten up. This won’t take me down permanently, but has definitely upset my usual positive mindset.
