Summer Olympics Eco Friendly Maple Wood Prints
It is time for Summer Olympics where around the world people hunker down to see people competing in a whole range of sporting adventures. One of my first summers in Portland, Oregon was also a summer Olympics in 1976. Outside the sky was grey and overcast, and it felt like it was like that the whole summer long. Sigh! I remember asking, when are we going to see the SKY? LOL! However, one thing that gave me joy was the delight of ice creams, ice cream bars, any kind of popsicle, you name it! Being drawn to color, I always want the most technicolor cool and delicious treats that you can find. If it is BLUE, YES! GREEN? YES! Rainbow? Absolutely f*ing YES!!!
This piece is meant to capture the joy of summer, Olympics yes or no, but what are those moments, the things you remember that brought some joy into your life. Here is hoping that this can also bring to you that summer feeling, that summer feeling to last you the rest of your life! Each of our maple wood custom panels is printed directly onto 1/2" thick maple surfaced wood, giving a warm and natural looking print that’s also eco-friendly. The stunning wood grain shows through the light or non printed areas of the image, producing a natural warm tone and retro vintage feel.
All panels are wrapped in a protective sleeve with individual plastic or cardboard guards added to each corner. Additional cardboard is secured over the print surface to minimise the risk of breakages or transit damage. Each panel is then shipped in a heavy duty cardboard box.
